About us

Ten years ago our family took over a tired little pub in the picturesque village of Grendon. During the following decade, thanks to Chef Proprietor Anthonys passion for good, honest, freshly cooked food, the pub is now a thriving country restaurant and well as a cosy local watering hole.

We always keep 3 real ales on tap and our Cask Mark award for 10 years running is testament of a good quality pint. Lagers are Fosters, Estrella and Kronenberg. London stout Ciders are Strongbow original and Cloudy Apple.

With a large selection of wines and bottled beers and ciders too.

Lovely thatched village pub. Nice sunny decking area outside. Warm fire in Winter. Sunday lunches very popular, as are bar meals. Regular entertainment nights, bands, quizzes etc. Fab friendly staff.

Lovely village pub, very welcoming! Served great food and drink at very reasonable prices, with an excellent atmosphere and lovely/helpful staff. The land lady was so friendly, would definitely recommend!

Found on the main road, there's parking for around 10 cars. It's road parking after that. There's a back and a front garden.. Dogs are welcome. Service was extremely slow. 15 minutes to get 2 drinks at the bar. People on the next table were complaining too.. Advertising Sunday lunch until 5pm but at 3pm dinners were sparse and some had run out. Claiming the best roasts in northants on their boards, but gave 2 roast potatoes that were rubbery and hard to cut, and 1 pig in blanket that looked raw enough to run off of the plate.... It's a shame as the setting and location is perfect. The service and organisation just needs to be better. Also, please fix all the broken wooden chairs out the front, and change the brown water in the dog bowls.

Excellent pub for a lovely Sunday roast. The majority of the menu is gluten free or has gluten free options, GF roast includes Yorkshire and stuffing which is a nice change for my partner who is gluten free. Staff very understanding and checked everything with the kitchen. Great place to visit and we will be back. Would highly recommend to everyone

Spotted the post on Facebook for fish and chip night so decided we should check it out! Warm greetings from the friendly staff, good selection of good and drink in nice surroundings. The fish and chips alone were well worth the pilgrimage! Warm brownie Sunday for pudding. Very reasonable prices, well worth a visit! 🥰
