The Grosvenor is a traditional British pub in Edinburgh. Our menu is in the best tradition of British pub food. Best enjoyed with a drink, friends and a warm welcome at the Edinburgh.
Little is known about the Grosvenor other then it boasts an original listed back bar that was thought to have originated off of a ship. Also the name refers to the family name of the dukes of Westminster. The family Grosvenor family is famous for having long held huge estates in London. This pub boasts an original listed back bar that was thought to have originated off of ship.
We’re proud to say our menu is packed with Great British pub food classics, including iconic dishes like our hand-battered fish and chips, pie and mash and succulent burgers.
Our drinks include a great range of real ales and an extensive wine list. Our cask ales range has some of the best in British beers, including the new 1730, our very own special pale ale. The team at the Grosvenor look forward to welcoming you soon at this fantastic traditional pub in Edinburgh.

Not tried the food but it looks good. Place seems to have changed recently. Staff are helpful and friendly, prices good and there's a good, friendly atmosphere.
1st visit in almost 20 years. Bar hasn't changed much, but still has good selection of beers, as memory serves me. New additions though is individual tvs in booths, where customers can eat/drink. Food, of good quality and very reasonable (£13 for cheeseburger, chops and onion rings; given location so close to Princess Street. Could get quietly drunk and fed, while watching your favourite sport. Beer is reasonably priced (£1.30 less than a very similar pub 100 yards away!) for City Centre. Served in main (bar/food) by James, who was very friendly and knowledgeable. Good experience👍
The place is photogenic and has very viby music their beer collection is really good, but the whisky isn't as better. People at the bar were so friendly and approachable attitude. Made me easy to choice the drink. Entirely my visit was good. Haven't tried the food yet. Next time will definitely turn up for food.
My four stars are probably a matter of preference but the staff are great. There was a mixup and we didn't get service quickly but it happens. I bet it doesn't happen when needed properly. It wasn't my choice to go here but my mum's. The chips, my daughter enjoyed very much. The drinks look delicious.
We visited this pub 2 days in a row. Unfortunately, they were out of quite a few ingredients as they were very business given the holidays. Outside of that, we had good experiences here. My mom and I shared the chicken sharer both times. The different types of chicken were cooked perfectly and tasted delicious. My pop and sis loved the fish and chips. But they didn't quite enjoy the Philly Steak Toastie because the bread was too hard. My youngest sister loved both the dishes she tried. The crispy bacon on her bbq chicken was perfect. She liked the steak and ale pie the best though. The staff was courteous and attentive. The drinks were great compared to the watered down ones I've come to expect living in the States. Overall, we would eat here again just not so close to the holidays.
