It's been a good while since I visited the Griffin. So many people said we should, so, on a whim, we visited on a Friday night. Staff were really lovely, found us a quiet table and the food was really excellent! The venue has been refurbished in such a tasteful way. It feels homey and comfortable with beautiful natural features like exposed stone walls, fireplaces, and wooden floors, which make you feel right at home. The menu has a great variety of foods, including veggie options, something a little fancier if that's what you're after but also really great casual 'pub food' with great portion sizes. We'll definitely be back!
No sea views, tiny double bed in a room not big enough to swing a cat in. Owners petty, small minded, rude and over dramatic. Even found a half chewed sweet under my bed! Disgusting place. Only worth £10 a night and that's if the seventh circle of hell isn't available.
Went for an early lunch, wonderful country pub feel, immaculate presentation and clean. no expense spared. has to be the best inn i have had the pleasure to eat in. food was hot and tasty. highly recommended.
Went to the Griffin for lunch for the first time in many many years... I was very impressed with how it'd been revamped! The food was incredible! The Staff are fantastic! The interior of the Griffin looks amazing! Will definitely be coming back again soon!
Absolutely fabulous. Beautifully decorated and set out, with food to match. Really enjoyed our lunch. A local cheese ploughman’s and the locally sourced meat platter topped off with a local pint. Highly recommend.
