I would have love to take more pics so I can show you all the inside little nooks of this place. but it's awkward when there are people around. lovely quirky and cosy place with outside tables with heater. would be great in the summer and those with behave pets are welcome too. the inside is like going on an adventure with a corridor leading into little rooms with table and chairs and sets of stairs that opens into another room and a bar. there are few rooms on other ends. you definitely need to book here if you want to stay inside and in the warmth. however there is another room up on top that you don't need to book similar to outside but enclosed, it's very snug. you and your dogs can chill there with a few others also with heaters above. overall lovely place and a good find for me and my family to have had a Sunday dinner. The fried brie starter is worth trying and decent portion and for a small appetite can be count as a main. we had roast beef and was tasty. my daughter had a brie tart as a main and she loved it. decent car park that shares with the hotel guests. very quiet. clean surroundings and very friendly staff and relax atmosphere ..will definitely visit again
Food is fabulous. Really good and varied menu. Cooked to perfection. Staff very friendly and attentive. My cousins and I meet here a few times a year for a get together and will continue to do so. It's got a friendly warm atmosphere.

Really nice layout and decor with roaring log fires throughout. Well done Greyhound Inn thanks for being such great hosts really appreciated the great service and food Thank You.
Whatever the occasion this place is a gem. For us it was a post Christmas overnight break and we were not disappointed. The owners have made a big effort to impress and that is exactly how i felf very impressed. Super dog friendly with dog treats in the room upon arrival along with delicious welsh cakes!!. Perfect little bar with open fire and a good selection of cask ales and flavoured gins. Could not fault this place and already looking forward to making another visit soon.
My wife and I have stayed here 2 or 3 nights each visit, and we have found the entire team to be friendly and helpful. The pub sits in idyllic setting and surrounded by the lowland hills of south Wales. However a short journey of 30 minutes takes you either to the hustle and bustle of Newport or Cardiff or travel north west to Abergavenny and the beautiful countryside. There is good parking around the Inn and with care wheelchair access to most areas of the pub for a casual drink or a meal. There are steps to some of the bar areas but staff can serve to tables where there is easy access especially if booked ahead. We normally stay in charming rooms a little remote to the main building, in a charming conversion which gives easy access to five ground floor rooms and has another five rooms accessible by a short flight of stairs. With care you can walk around the grounds, even as I do with two sticks. However this is a rustic countryside location and flagstones are uneven in the well maintained grounds. Food is wonderful fairly simple dishes but carefully prepared and served with pride in the mainly locally sourced supplies. The pub has a good selection of wine and beer, and in the winter they serve a delicious mulled wine.
