Fabulous Sunday lunch, Arthur and I had the Roast beef with Yorkshire puddings, potatoes and many vegetables. Just delicious. You have a choice of three mains. Remember to book.
Stopped here for dinner on a Sunday evening, and that's the first positive - hardly anywhere in the vicinity is actually open on Sunday evenings. The landlord was extremely welcoming and there was a normal menu, specials, and a vegetarian menu to choose from. The open fire was roaring and there was a lovely friendly doggo. The pub is beautiful outside with a garden and fairy lights, it's a bit shabby inside but perfectly clean. The food servings were absolutely massive. I had the veggie burger and chips. There were actually two burgers, both deep fried, and a mountain of chips (too many). There was also a good serving of fresh salad. I'd have preferred a baked veggie burger although that's personal taste I admit. My husband had the pork loin and enjoyed it.
Excellent pies on a cold rainy night. The service was great, everyone was super friendly. They have board games to play, so we had a chess match after dinner!
Great pub in a beautiful location. Perfectly placed for those doing the canal walk, just a short walk from the bridge. Lovely owners who were very welcoming. Good lunch menu and well kept beers. Great outdoor area as well. Will be going back.
Beautiful little pub and campsite, paid 10£ for a pitch and electrical hookup. The camp site was busy and full of friendly people, even got a slice of lemon drizzle cake and a can of beer from a lovely couple and their daughter. 🖤 Wash rooms were clean and had hot water. Ale was spot on too. Will definitely stop by again one day.
