I’ve got a couple of good friends for whom The Goat is a venerated institution. In their eyes it’s the epitome of what a little Mayfair boozer should be…..so I finally visited for myself. There’s beauty in modesty (tell that to the kids on social media), The Goat is a cozy understated affair, it’s the pub equivalent of your Nan’s front room. Homely.
very nice old pub. good food (fish and chips) and the beer tastes good too... friendly and nice staff!
Loved this little historic pub, great selection of ales and beers. Staff were a bit inattentive though. as I wanted to stay for more drinks but nobody at the bar :9
Love this pub! A busy little venue but we managed to seat five of us on the first floor. Bar was busy at ordering but staff and fellow customers all had good banter and were of good humour. We ate the chicken wings (IPA coated were perfect), the salt and pepper squid, chips with peppercorn sauce and fries. Absolutely superb! Not overly expensive and we will be returning.
Great Mayfair pub serving a good range of beers! Recommend the Level Head beer. They do 2 for 1 offers on some beers too!
