The Colliers Inn is a cosy and friendly pub located in the very beautiful Forest of Dean, in the heart of the Wye Valley. Recently refurbished the pub retains many of its original features including its stone walls, beams and original fireplaces
At the rear of the pub there is a lovely terraced beer garden.
As well as good, reasonably priced food and beer the pub also has very affordable accommodation in its bunkhouse, which was formally the pub's skittle alley.
The pub is situated in the friendly village of Lydbrook which has a rich history of coal mining, tin plate works, chemical works and forges but is now a peaceful residential village.
It is the perfect base for activity holidays being about a mile away from the River Wye and set amongst spectacular scenery. Canoeing, river running, cycling, climbing, caving, mountain biking are all on our doorstep as are other local attractions such as "Go Ape", "Pedleabikeaway", "The Beechinghurst Sculpture Trail" and many more.
This area is very popular for those who love the Great Outdoors with its many walks and an abundance of local wildlife.
With a warm welcome, relaxing accommodation and beautiful countryside on our doorstep The Colliers is the ideal base for your break.
Dogs, children and muddy wellies are all welcome.
We also have free WiFi available, please ask behind the bar for more information.

The most friendly pub we all could imagine, we (family group 16 of us) spent Christmas week in Lydbrook and The Colliers absolutely made our stay perfect with great atmosphere and friendly locals we all felt part of the village There are only two pubs in the village but the Colliers inn is by far 100% the better
Great pub, Has very reasonably priced bunk house accommodation for visitors. Recently doing the pop up kitchen scene, bringing different styles of cuisine into the village, which is great for locals and tourists alike.
Friendly little pub that we popped into for a quick refresher after riding the Forest of Dean on the hottest day of the year. Nice and friendly staff and clients in a cracking location for activities (and they offer accommodation upstairs too!)
Nikki and her staff are very helpful and friendly.Had a lovely two week holiday in Lydbrook and went to the Colliers Inn at least four times. The food was very good and the chef was very accommodating . Well worth a visit. A&E
I arrived and the table was set in a quiet corner next to a blazing stove. I was happy for this as it was a.chilly summers evening. The staff are very welcoming and the young waitress couldn't do enough to help. I wasn't aware of your dog policy and was very pleased to see you allowed well behaved dogs in the bar. The meals were very good Pie of the day - very nice Fish and chips- probably the best fish and chips I have ever had. If I could complain it would be that a more generous portion of chips could accompany the fish. I recommend this pub as very good and worth a visit.
