On a couple of occasions in the past I have requested the beef carvery. On both occasions the meat was inedible. Jelly consistency and basically just fat. Last night was my first visit for some time and I thought I'd risk the beef again. Exactly the same as previous visits. 3 slices of stringy fat.
Had a nice lunch here. Lovely little building with welcoming, polite & attentive staff. Our waiter was fantastic, very friendly, super helpful & hilariously funny - unfortunately, we didn’t get his name 😢
It's been a while since eating here due to us living by the Brockworth site. Very impressed with the service here. Shout out to Dean who was an excellent server. I had a slice of each meat 5 choices! Great food. See you again soon. Cheers
Waited for seating, but not too long, so nothing that upset me. However waited for waiter to appear, didn't after 5 minutes so we walked to the carvery ourselves. When at the carvery the server was looking like somebody had just visited his house and urinated in his bed, very miserable looking and no smiles, no communicating to the customers (unless somebody spoke to him), when we ordered Extra large, I noticed no sausages, I mentioned it and he was very defensive and started to state that he has been working here all day, it's not his fault that sausages are not available and was very unprofessional. This isn't the first time this particular person behind the service area has been rude. I am seriously considering not returning only for this reason. The food however was very good.
I have given a 5 star review for the food and staff. Last night I came with family as a get together prior to Xmas. They were clearly grossly understaffed, however, the team did the best they could and that's all I could have asked for. Working in hospitality myself I know the current challenges so I understand it, others may not be as forgiving. Regardless, well done to the team who trooped on.
