The Fox Inn is located in pretty Chaddesley Corbett, Worcestershire, a charming village characterised by picturesque half-timbered buildings.
It is thought that an inn of some sort has stood on the site of The Fox for at least 250 years, with the current building dating from the late 1830s. Historically, the pub has offered a vital meeting place for this small rural community. A friendly welcome still greets our guests today, as Head Chef Ben Giles and his team keep traditional family values at the core of The Fox’s modern ethos.
Ben and team acquired The Fox in 2017, and quickly set to work applying their food passion and years of experience in the trade to this country pub and restaurant. Traditional values are key to Ben’s food ethos, coming from a successful family of publicans and restauranteurs, who own both The Punchbowl Inn, just outside Bridgnorth, and the renowned Plough Inn at Far Forest. Their extensive experience in all aspects of the pub and restaurant industry ensures a warm welcome and friendly front-of-house service to all our guests.
Together, Ben and team bring these family traditions to The Fox, fused with their own passion for superb modern British dining. The restaurant now offers both a la carte excellence, and a daily, premium carvery.
Our Suppliers
At The Fox Inn, our seasonal menus are shaped by a passion for fresh produce with a focus on the provenance of our ingredients. Local meat and vegetables are supplied by Griffins Farm Shop and Bewdley Farm Shop, both located only a few miles from the restaurant, keeping food mileage low and ensuring exceptional freshness and quality. Ben regularly travels to regional trade markets to acquire only the finest meat and fish for his kitchen, scrutinising every cut to guarantee that only the best reaches your plate.
Ben’s focus on local provenance is also evident in your glass and on our bar; we keep local ales on draught every day alongside selected guest ales, and our extensive wine list offers something to suit all tastes and budgets.

WOW!! can not think of a more deserving word to describe this place. Absolutley outstanding food and service from start to finish, 5 of us went for a birthday meal and we will deffinatley be returning. Hats off to the chef/cooks for the amazing food, and the staff well they are just fantastic and lovely. See you all soon. Thank you.
Amazing service from this outstanding restaurant. We went there when there was a power cut. Nice little atmosphere, with candles lit and very calm. The waitresses were incredibly helpful and explained the whole situation and said that we could still eat and the power would be back on soon!. The menu has a great selection, however not overly huge compared to other restaurants which doesnt affect me personally but others maybe. When the food was given to us, it was outstanding especially for the price. I had a bacon burger and the beef was so well done, and honestly tasted fresh and looked fresh, as opposed to other places where the burger looks stale 🤣 Everything was so well presented too. Which I was not expecting for the price. Speaking of price, I wasn't aware of any deals, and out grand total was £36. Cheapest restaurant meal I had ever had. The drinks are expensive at £4 for a large so that's what made our meal bit over the top. But if we just ordered all 3 courses just for the two of us it cost £20. I will definitely be coming here again
Well worth the visit! I had to come and see what all the fuss was about, and it didn't disappoint. I have passed hundreds of times, even stopping for fuel across the road, but this was the first time I've been here for food. The food on display looked fantastic and offered every vegetable you could think of. The meat selection of Beef, Gammon, Turkey, and Pork all looked fresh and tasty. Sunday roast dinner is carvery for £14.95 or 2 courses for £19.95. You get a fabulous amount of meat and all you can eat vegetables make it great value. The roast potatoes and the potato gratin were tasty, and the gravy spot on. The dessert was lovely. We had the winter fruit crumble, the custard was just right. The staff were friendly and polite, all busy running around. There are several great deals on in the week too, so definitely a return visit to plan
Coming from America the sound of a "Carvery" was interesting. Back home there are no places left that cut beef in front of you. The staff was very friendly and made us feel at home right away. This is a locals restaurant and pub. Vegetables are local sourced and my wife really liked that they were not over cooked. Having traveled recently in several large cities, the 12 pound, 3 course meal was an absolute bargain. The taste of the food was also a very refreshing change compared to normal bland restaurant food. It is not a fancy place but neither am I. The Carvery offered Turkey, Roast beef, and two kinds of Pork. The plate was large and we were given lots of meat. The vegetables were self serve. The special offers a single to thru line. I could not eat my full plate so I am going to say the portion is normal to large. Deserts we're good according to two in our party. Like I said I was stuffed from the main course. The Fox Inn is a must stop in if anywhere near the area!
First time I've been here, and they had 3 courses for £10. The food was nice enough, the starters would nice.. Good amount of flavour. The carvery had a wide selection of vegetables, and the meat was wonderful. The roast potatoes had a weird herb crust on it, which wasn't to my taste, and the potato gratin wasn't to our taste at all. You aren't going to win it all! The dessert was lovely, the sticky toffee pudding was just amazing.. so much flavour! The apple crumble was okay, custard was a bit watery. The chefs were so friendly and polite. The servers didn't look like they were that thrilled to be there, and the service could be very slow.. considering how quiet it was. Would I go here again? Probably yes. It was cheap, and the food was nice enough!
