This is an awesome very old they don't serve food. It's just an old school boozer that has local beers
Whilst out, I am always keen to have a good pint of the black stuff. Now, given they've an Irish name, I'd expect them to fulfil this requirement, and they did. Others may have more extensive criteria and need more before they pass judgement - not me. I just want a good pint of Guinness. Top shelf stuff.
Didn't eat but had drinks, atmosphere was good, and decor amazing... ( quick tip from a blue fan, less blue would be more 'irish' decor)
Absolutely appalling language and attitude from the so called ‘landlord’ who used vile laungage towards me and my friends who were playing pool and were gathered around the table, I was playing pool with my friends and one of my other friends recommended to pot a ball with then a local getting annoyed and telling the landlord he was being a ‘d**k’ with then the landlord getting aggressive and telling us to ‘f**k off’ and other vile language. With then on later that night when returning the local man stole money off the pool table that was mine and another man’s !! With us confronting the local and him pretending he didn’t take the money even tho I witnessed him take the money the landlord started calling us all these names and defending the local with him kicking us out !!! Just a shame as it is a lovely pub but but no respect from the landlord towards paying customers who were there to just enjoy the evening.
I love it here. Sunday's are the best. Live music today and cocktails all round. So chilled and a great family atmosphere. Collum behind the bar, is fantastic. Checking to make sure your drinks are ok and your all happy. Credit to this man! Only our second time here. ( 2 Sundays in a row) but have to say it's a great little place. Like a family pub. I come down from Plymouth to see my daughters and we decided today, it's the best place in Truro. All the Cocktails are amazing. Thank you for an awesome time, every time! (Yes we are a little tipsy) there's a football table and a Shrek pinball machine. TV's for sports. A piano. Little nookie to chill in.... If I go missing at any point, I'm here...lol
