Great place to eat. Service was with a great sense of humour. Food all cooked in house or locally sourced. Would eat there again if it was local
We booked a table of 12 on the day and the staff were very accommodating! Food was great and any problems were sorted quickly. Chef came out to speak to us which was nice. Toilets were clean. Free carpark just across the road. Good menu with a few veggie options. Had dairy free ice cream which was an unexpected bonus!
Had an evening meal at this little gem after a long walk in the forest on our holiday. We booked ahead and we're assured we could bring our 2 spaniels with us. We arrived early but this was not a problem for the caring and friendly owners, who got us a seat by the fire. Creamy garlic mushrooms were to die for followed by a beautifully presented rump steak. Chef explained the meat was locally sourced and it was so tender and well seasoned. Absolutely delicious with all the trimmings. Our eyes were bigger than our bellies but the food was too good to leave behind. Teamed with crispy onion rings, homemade coleslaw and some of the best chips we've ever tasted. Chef even brought out some cooked sausage for our weary dogs. A good selection of homemade puddings too - we opted for white chocolate and strawberry brulee and a sticky toffee pudding. Scrumptious! We were made to feel very welcome and, much like the valley, friendly faces everywhere. We're from Yorkshire and so familiar with a good chat over good beer, and we were not disappointed! Always receive such a warm and friendly welcome. Food there is deeeelicious and they are dog friendly! Great place to go for a yummy Sunday lunch but book in advance to save yourself from disappointment. Puddings are a must if you have enough room in your belly.
Stunning scenery, lovely walks, fantastic food and home made chips, just like mum made. Very well run and classy, comfortable exactly what we wanted we will be back. Helpful knowledge owners a good break
