The Ferry is a popular, historic, Wallasey pub which boasts unprecedented views over the Mersey
Situated on the waterfront, The Ferry’s location boasts impressive views of the Liverpool skyline and offers a relaxed atmosphere; making it the perfect place to unwind. A recent refurbishment was completed in Oct 2024 which included a major enhancement of bi-fold doors to the ground level restaurant area, opening it up for easy access to the restaurant and beer garden areas.
Renowned for its traditional and classic pub food, guests can enjoy home-cooked and locally sourced ingredients from the regularly, updated pub menu which boasts classics including hunters chicken, fish and chips and Sunday roasts, as well as seafood dishes and steaks. The Ferry also offers an impressive range of beers, ales, wines, spirits, and softs to cater to all tastes and preferences. The restaurant and beer garden are both open daily to enjoy the most amazing views across the river and is a very popular stop off area for walkers along the promenade.
The Ferry was honoured to have been nominated for 2 prestigious awards in 2023. Regional Publican of the Year and was runner up at The Great British Pub Awards 2023.

We had Sunday roast dinner today. Unfortunately the meat appeared to be sliced delicatessen not carvery cooked. Other than that food was good, we had a enjoyable time. Staff very friendly and helpful.
We went in after a lovely walk where we had every season. The fog had rolled in and the kids were cold. Fabulous hot chocolate and a really friendly welcome. We only had bowls of chips to eat so can’t judge the food, but they were quick, hot and tasty. We will definitely go back.
Lovely pub very clean with plenty of character, staff are great, only gripe was the food dishes came from the kitchen incredibly salty, and we weren't able to eat it but all in all its was quite enjoyable
Nice views of the Liverpool Water front, not the best fish and chips I have ever had but ok, would order off the full menu at £11 as the lunch menu option of £7.50 not upto much, next to no fish...
Walked here from the Travelodge in New Brighton, stopped for a couple of drinks before making the return journey. When you first walk in looks like a proper old fashioned pub, there are what look like newer additions to the side where people were eating. The barmaid serving us was nice and polite. There is more seating outside which is where we went and enjoyed the views of the Mersey. The toilets are tiny, not even joking on that one. They seemed physically clean enough but still stank of wee.
