I just had the most exquisite meal. I booked The Angel without knowing too much about it. To my surprise it was absolutely exquisite. The food was stunning, their attention to detail is impeccable. What a wonderful surprise on a cold January Sunday. Thank you so much. I can’t wait to come back.
We visited the restaurant for the full tasting and WOW! Every dish was exceptional and a genuine joy to eat, Ruben is an outstanding chef. The atmosphere is wonderful and the staff are so warm that it feels like home. We can't fault a single thing and will definitely be returning and bringing family and friends with us. If you're deciding where to visit, this is an absolute must. It surpasses some michelin restaurants we've been to so they certainly deserve a star!
This is the most wonderful place. The ambience and decor are stunning. The staff are professionals and the food was probably the best I've ever eaten. We had the short taster menu and every mouthful was a delight along with the wine that was paired with each course. Delicious. We did not stay here but were shown around the rooms, each one is unique. Complete luxury.
We had dinner and stayed one night. The food was outstanding. The rooms decor was to a high standard as was the cleanliness. Considering the excellent food it was good value.
We stayed at the Angel Inn for our 1st wedding anniversary, we had read good things, but we were genuinely bowled over by how great out experience was. Everything was superb, but the food and wine in particular were astonishing! While staying we had the Full tasting menu, but for pescatarians, with wine pairings. From the Amuse bouche all the way through to the petite fours at the end, the whole menu was perfectly balanced. Particular highlights were the pistachio cake with poached apricot and curry milk, it really blew our minds. The service was excellent throughout and the time the staff took to explain the dishes and the wine pairings (particularly a last minute wine substitution that was phenomenal), all made for a lovely meal and an excellent anniversary getaway. Would thoroughly recommend to anyone!
