Welcome to the Elm Tree Inn situated in the quaint and peaceful village of Embsay, two miles from the bustling market town of Skipton, often referred to as "the gateway to the Dales".
This 17th Century Inn has always been at the centre of village life and through the ages has been a great asset to the wider community of Embsay and Eastby. Today the pub is a popular destination for walkers and tourists alike and visitors can be assured of a warm and friendly greeting at any time of the year.
After enjoying one of the many local walks from our front door, relaxing at the bar in the "Tree" is one of the best rewards life can bestow on tired legs. For those who have worked up a healthy appetite, we have an extensive menu ranging from "light bites" to a locally sourced steak.
Dining in the Elm Tree is a relaxed and informal experience and if desired, you can sit at your table for as long as you wish.

Cozy little pub with great food and drinks. Lovely staff going out of their way to cater for your needs. Highly recommended.
Attractive village pub with good food, good service and a fine line up of cask ales. The interior is spacious and we'll designed. There is a car park to the rear for those drinking softies.
What a fantastic little village gem. Food was homely and the locals were cracking. Will definitely have to head south and visit again. My dog had the best time.
Fantastic staff. Very friendly and helpful. We ordered food as well as a drink, which was served quickly. We waited a while for our food, but it was served piping hot and beautifully presented. The bill was a surprise too, a very nice surprise. Would thoroughly recommend this place. A little gem
