We are a friendly local pub and restaurant located in the small village of Edge which overlooks the beautiful, picturesque Painswick Valley. The inn itself is a wonderful 19th century building constructed with Cotswold stone and is known for its amazing panoramic views, making each window a true work of art.
While you are visiting Stroud in Gloucestershire we are perfect place to stop for some home cooked meals, all of the produce we use on our menu has been grown locally which allows us to offer a very traditional Painswick restaurant.
To keep the local theme going even further we also always have some wonderful local ales from the Cotswolds, we work hard to make sure that our menu and drinks menu has a wealth of locally produced items on it to ensure that when you eat here, you are tasting the real and true flavours of the Cotswolds.

Lovely views and plenty of parking. Food was average , pie had clearly been reheated as the gravy wasn’t hot all the way through and gelatinous and I am now unwell today. My husband enjoyed his fish and said it was lovely and my son had chicken goujons and enjoyed them. Pricing was fair but I wouldn’t return based on being inconsistently good food
We visited Edgemoor on a weekday evening, so there wasn't much crowd. We were looking for a place to have dinner after a drive around Cotswolds. The food here was lovely and the decor and service was good. My wife wanted to replace Chips with salad, and they obliged without a fuss.
We've driven past this Inn many times on the way to Gloucester and decided to check out their Sunday lunch. Great location looking across the Painswick Valley and most of the tables in the large restaurant have spectacular views. Staff were friendly and service was fast and efficient. Reasonably priced and a good choice of eating options in addition to the lamb Sunday roast. We'll definitely be back!

A great local and friendly pub. A nice choice of 4 real ale's to pick from amongst the usual popular choices. Also every 2nd Tuesday of the month is open mic with live music.
