At Dukes bed and breakfast, Bath, we offer you the chance to stay at one of the city’s most prestigious street addresses. This beautiful boutique guest house stands on Great Pulteney Street, one of the finest boulevards in the Heritage City
Whether you are sight-seeing or on business, a centrally located bed and breakfast offers the ultimate in convenience. Dukes boutique guest house is a mere five minute level stroll into Bath city centre passing major landmarks such as the much photographed, romantic 18th century Pulteney Bridge, modelled on Andrea Palladio’s unused design for the Ponte di Rialto in Venice. It is also within sight of the famous Holburne Museum of Art with its exhibitions and gardens.
Offering central accommodation, Dukes has a prime location with all the main attractions on your doorstep. Whether you want to relax and unwind investigating the Roman Baths, see a show at the spectacular Theatre Royal, immerse yourself in history on one of the many city walks, take an arts, crafts or cookery course, shop in one of the many boutiques or independent stores, or marvel at the impressive architecture such as the famous Royal Crescent - our guests are spoiled for choice.
This is the best place to stay in Bath. Beautiful rooms, friendly and attentive staff. Brilliant breakfast! I have learned to never stay anywhere else because this will always be the best. The rooms and quality of the place is unbeatable.
Beautiful place to stay and great location so close to town centre. Service was amazing and staff couldn’t be friendlier! The downfall was the room. It was very plain, not like the pictures and at the top of many stairs. We didn’t mind the stairs as much but on our way down in the mornings seeing the other rooms and how much nicer and more spacious they were it was a bit disappointing. Another downfall was there was no coffee available. We love a cup of coffee in the mornings and there was nothing aside from instant coffee.
This is a lovely place to stay. A short walk from the city centre. It is a comfortable clean hotel. There was a wide breakfast choice, and all the food we had was of a superior quality and beautifully cooked. My husband loved the porridge with a splash of whiskey. Carol, the owner, spoke to all the guests every morning asking about their trips, etc. All the staff we met were friendly and nothing was too much trouble.
Oh my goodness! This place is amazing! Alexander helped us get checked in and he was so very helpful with all our questions about the city! He also makes a great gin and tonic! Hannah was there the next morning and she was also very helpful and kind! The rooms have a very authentic feel to the old world Bath. The rooms were clean and they had towel warmers! So nice! We would definitely stay here again! Because they are old world, there are no elevators so you will need to be okay with walking up stairs. It is a close walk to all the Bath shops and activities! The breakfast was also very good and quiet. Parking was a pain but parking is limited everywhere. Thank you, Dukes! We loved it! ❤️
Great find! Husband booked a night at Dukes as a surprise anniversary celebration. We were so impressed with our stay. Situated strolling distance to the centre of Bath, Dukes was perfect and meant that we could explore and dine out without worrying about booking a taxi. Husband had ordered some flowers to be delivered… Dukes staff organised and we were very impressed. Staff were very attentive and breakfast was delicious. Would definitely recommend and we look forward to booking again.
