Go for the music it's the very best. Wear good shoes it can get slippy but staff are great they put up yellow signs for spillages. Don't bump into them tho like a did ..bit squiffy that night lol Good joint for party goers as is Manhattan's down the road if wanting an even later drink
Bad music (DJ), No enough barstaff and the dirtiest, most foul smelling toilets, so bad you have to hold your breath when using them.
Great pub with a warm welcome. Great atmosphere and great prices. Open until 12am most nights. Always fab entertainment on over the weekends. Easy to get to with plenty of transport links, lots of bus routes and bus stop is practically outside. Wallsend Metro stop is but a short walk so getting to and from Newcastle City Centre is simply a short ride away or you can go by bus or metro to the coast. Located right on Wallsend High Street so there are lots to see and do. Lots of shops literally on the the pub's doorstep if a bit of retail therapy is in order or Segedunum Roman Fort and Museum is quite literally a five minute stroll away.
Live across the road the music blasting suppose to shut early hours and it still open god knows what time and could least turn the music down but no it on full blasting and waking my baby up. Have more respect got surrounding wallsend community to. Yes you run a pub make sure your music doesn't affect surrounding people homes. Unless the pub buy everyone noise cancelling headphones.
well, where do i start? went to the reopening night looking forward to seeing the" Absolute stone roses". what a disappointment, i asked the manageress on arrival, what time does the band come on? 8.45 was the reply. 9.35 the band came on, whilst sat in the corner with my wife , a young lad and two girls came and sat beside us, the lad thought it a good idea to repeatedly punch his girlfriend in the jaw, i went outside and told the bouncers, when i went back in he'd already spilled his drink all over my wife and then went walkabout. ten minutes later he came back, sat down with a pint and punched his girlfriend again, i went back to the bouncers who followed me in only to witness him punch hiss lass again. he was chucked straight out. two seconds later a girl puked on the floor and walked out, that was ok because her mate spilled her pint onto the floor sending beer and glass our way ,however it washed the puke away, we left before the end. i must say that the door staff were brilliant and handled the situation brilliantly. It's nice to see wallsend having a new music venue but the management should take a trip to the 3 turns on sheriff hill to see how it should be ran.rant over.
