We had a pool match there but apart from that it seems a nice pub

Stayed at the Duke of Cornwall for 1 night. Typical pub but friendly. Very disappointed with the room me and my partner stayed in as the room smelt of damp. Every time we entered the room there was a very strong smell. I emailed Richard stating this and he said the room is to be renovated. I asked if next time we stayed there could we have a discount as we paid £65 and not even breakfast. He had not replied back stating if he would do a discount next time so I had to place this review on here. Sorry but only given yeah 1 star. Not going back there again
Had an excellent time at this room over a pub. Stayed 3nights to attend a gig but also a Cornish mini break. Staff were excellent and made to feel very welcome and had a great time because of it. Highly recommended. A little road noise which is expected due to location.
Excellent, friendly, down to earth pub. Excellently kept beer. Nice clean rooms. Lovely breakfasts. Friendly staff. 2 handsome cats. No evening food, but staff are happy for guests to bring back take-aways and consume in the bar with the great beer. Win-win. When the beer is this good, who wants to eat out?
