Interesting classic pub with lots of interesting history regarding Irish patrons from the 1950s - 1970s. Historical music venue during late 70s - 80s with local North London/Camden set playing there, early Madness, Amy Winehouse to name a few. Now, it's still worth a visit to sample the Guinness, which just might be one of the best pints in London. The music venue is still going with old rockers paying the stage nowadays, as all the grassroots bands have since moved East.
Great music pub. There is cover charge for the music, but only for the music scene at the back. I watched an assortment of unknown indie bands. I had three pints of the very ordinary Heineken beer at £6.30 (pubs are closing at an alarming rate, the very high beer prices probably has a lot to do with it). Toilets were extremely dirty and smelly.
Fun and friendly. Reasonably priced. Saw a great band there called the Unfunkables.
Lovely place with a great atmosphere, good selection of beers and great music - both on the Jukebox and live bands. Yes, it's a bit pricey compared to other pubs that have bands playing but all in all a good night out.
Thank you for working to continue to let this place exist! Firstly, lovely cold beer from the keg served to the dulcet tones of every 70's rock band you can imagine! Lovely attentive staff serving fast and efficient. This place offers live music, played till late with free entry!!! A rare gem indeed. A difficult balancing act and an act of bravery, brilliant. A bit busy to take many photos but I hope you get the idea.
