A truly impressive pub - as you would expect from the Nicholson’s chain with 6 cask ales on sale and offering 20% discount on these ales for members of CAMRA.
Spent some time there a few weeks ago for some after work drinks. Venue is really lovely, situated in the centre of Glasgow. Staff are really friendly, and there’s a great selection of ales and whiskies. Only real downside was the atmosphere. I’ve been to livelier wakes. Decent pub if you’re in Glasgow
Gorgeous pub in an opulent old bank. Lots of marble, dark wood and brass. High tables and back nooks, large bar with lots of great ales on tap. If you want high quality traditional Scottish food, this is the place!
Very good (taste&amount) haggis, and perfectly grilled steak. Chosen IPA was good too.
My first time in Scotland and I chose this place to try Haggis, neeps and tatties as well as the sticky toffee pudding. The haggis was good, but it is not something I would go back for. The sticky toffee pudding was incredibly sweet, I wish I could've liked it more, but it was not bad! Food was overall good. I'm sure their other dishes are amazing here, hope to come back again someday!
