I ate at the restaurant of this hotel while staying nearby. The food was fantastic, one of the best meals I had on my NC500 trip. The staff were friendly and attentive, thank you!
While visiting Scotland we met very kind people. The staff at this quaint hotel tops the list of thoughtful people. My daughter and I arrived at midnight with a tow truck. They were right outside helping with the car and carried luggage to the room. The next day a nice young man drove us to pick up the repaired car. The breakfast is delicious. The setting is lovely and walking distance to the castle.
£14 for 2 double espressos which the worker at the bar had to go and check if we could have first. Felt an odd atmosphere don’t know if that’s maybe cus we’re at the end of our week camping trip looking a little rough haha otherwise the coffee itself was perfect and presented with a wee biscuit. If your a coffee drinker you will enjoy for sure, just at double the usual price. (Only stopped for coffee so the 3* room rating isn’t from experience of the actual hotel)
They were very hospitable, and the food was lovely. We thoroughly enjoyed it. The ladies who served us were very kind and took particular care in feeding the two wee children with us very quickly.
I was passing in this very small town during a road trip, on a Thursday morning, and just asked if I could stop to get breakfast here. I was not a guest at this hotel but nonetheless I have been very warmly welcomed by the hostess. The full Scottish breakfast was delicious and the service particularly friendly! I am sure this is a great hotel to sleep in.
