Dexter and Jones is a Craft Beer, Artisan Gin and Fine Wine shop/bar set in the heart of Knutsford in Cheshire. We offer more than 450 different Craft Beers, 10 Draft Beers (which are ever changing), more than 150 small batch Gins and more than 60 different Wines. Our mission is always to offer the best beverages you won’t find elsewhere.
When it comes to Craft Beer, we are constantly on the hunt. From securing one-off lines by the biggest names in brewing, to seeking out the start-ups breaking new ground.
When it comes to Gins we focus on small batch distillers who make their drinks naturally without artificial flavourings, striving for the perfect botanical mix to tickle your tastebuds.
As for our Wines, they come from small, often undiscovered vineyards who pride product over pomp! The result? Big taste without the big price tag.
In house we also serve amazing coffee by Grindsmith and delicious cakes made fresh each week by Stuart Thornley Cake Design.

Not very impressed with the attitude of one of the sales staff. On receiving my order of a selection of canned beers, I noticed that one can was very damaged. I contacted the company to check that it would be OK (and not erupt on opening). To the credit of the customer service, the response was received very quickly. However, the member of staff blamed to delivery service for treating the parcel disrespectfully. (I had explained in my initial email that the packaging was in perfect order and that the cans of beer were packed in tight, preformed cardboard, so the can was obviously damaged before packing.) I responded by reiterating that the outside packaging was perfect as was the preformed cardboard inside the box, I also said that it was unfair to blame the delivery company when it was clearly not at fault. The response to me was that the delivery company were definitely to blame and that the damaged can could not have been stacked on their shelves because of the damage anyway. Whilst I commend the company for the promptness of responses, and the quality of the products, I'm very disappointed that they are obviously happy to put the blame on a clearly innocent party. In response to your response: I was not questioning the product, it's lovely, and I was reassured by your response assuring me that the damaged can would not explode on opening! I just felt sad for the delivery company as the packaging was not damaged in any way. Very pleased to support a small business and wish you good luck with your venture - I will definitely be buying from you again as your selection of beers is the best I've seen anywhere. So glad we found this place! We visited Knutsford to see the Christmas market which was very busy and found this lovely little safe haven for an afternoon beer with the dogs! I could have stayed all day and haven't stopped recommending it to family and friends. We will defenitely be returning. I didnt even realise they did cocktails and wines because the beer selection was fantastic. Thank you for making is feel so welcome.

The best cocktails, ever! I came here today with my partner to buy some of the amazing beers they sell. My hubby loves funky flavoured and sour beers, this they do in spades. An amazing selection. But, the thing I wasn’t expecting was that it is a bar too and the cocktails were fabulous, not your sugary factory produced, synthetic drinks, but incredibly fresh and lovely, a real pleasure to drink. Katie was fabulously warm and made me feel welcome. We’ve looked at rooms to stay over already! We will be back. Thank you Katie.
Had a lovely visit here tonight. Loads of ales, rums, gins and lots more to choose from. More importantly the atmosphere is amazing. Very friendly place with lovely staff ❤️
