Came for lunch, very very nice though very quiet. Almost felt we had chosen the wrong venue! Good welcome soon dispelled any misgivings. Nice log fire going, superb ham egg and chips and very reasonably priced. Worth the drive from near Winchester and back for lunch with friends.
We stayed here with friends who had a small dog. Comfortable, warm rooms with tea and coffee facilities. Charming owners and staff, open fires which are so unusual these days. Perfect after a walk on the moors. The food, well, hardly more to be said than scrumptious, delicious, and filling. Who could want for more. We can't wait to go back, the perfect getaway, whether it's for an evening, lunch, or to stay, and breathe.....
Well worth making the effort to seek out this delightful venue. Classy decor and an ideal location for exploring east Dartmoor. Very quiet on our lunchtime visit but great service and a super snack. The Kestor achieved National fame a couple of decades ago when Dolly Parton, visiting her U.K. music agent who lived nearby, became its most famous customer!
Excellent traditional pub, ideally located for exploring Dartmoor. We stayed in their dog friendly room for a few nights while we hiked a few of the Tors. Rooms are clean and serviced daily, food was great and good menu options. Would stay again.
We had a fab stay at Kestor Inn, this is our second time. The location is perfect for Dartmoor. Staff so friendly. We ate a lovely breakfast- I recommend the poached eggs! Evening meal was superb and good value. We will stay again next summer ☀️
