A really wonderful proper country pub. Fitted us in on the day for my daughter and I with our two dogs. Warmly welcomed, really good Guinness and perfect food. Not often Iām full but had to be rolled out at the end of the night!!!! Would highly recommend and will 100% be back. Thank you so much.

We were a family of 5 arriving late on a busy Monday night and the pub was struggling to cope with a large take out order received at the same time, so the speed of service suffered. But the food arrived and was plentiful and excellent. The best home cooked steak pie I have ever eaten!! Atmosphere was pleasant and I would thoroughly recommend the pub!!
Our first visit since moving locally and it was a fantastic experience. We were warmly greeted on arrival and looked after throughout by a lovely lady and met Rachel the owner who took the time to chat to us and made us feel really welcome. A really varied menu including interesting vegetarian options which made our visiting son happy, all of the food was delicious, served piping hot and with generous portions, thankfully we just about had room for desserts, hardest bit was knowing which to choose! What a great find so close to home, see you all again soon
Nice homely feel, good choice of flavored gins and fever tree tonics. The food was very tasty with good sizes. Very Clean, friendly staff who were very efficient. The old and the new works very well here.
