Waiting time to be seated was quite long, we had pre booked. Quality of food good but could do with being hotter. Condiments and gravy section needed cleaning and re filling. Staff were great.
Made a booking for 1900. Got to table at 1930. Joined queue that was extremely long. Before we got half way round, they ran out of meat. It also appeared that they weren't replenishing the veg.The Yorkshire pudding came out having been cooked in a rectangular tin and looked anaemic. When it became apparent that we weren't going to get any meat, we decided to leave the queue. A Shame as family members had travelled the length of the country for a family reunion the staff were rude and didn't even inform people that they'd ran out of food. The staff were rude. Toby can see by the bookings made, how many covers they have to feed. To run out of food before 2000 hours on a Friday night is a disgrace. Shocking service!!! Never again.
Carvery a good assortment of vegetables well cooked. Beef was a bit chewy. Halved the bill with Co diner we had same course large coke & Carvery £15.00 Staff very polite & helpful. Clean & hygienic environment.
Sorry to write this review but our meal today, festive menu, was not good! The mushroom starter was freshly cooked to order and was really nice but unfortunately it went downhill after that. The pork was overdone, pulled rather than carved, and no crackling. The vegetables were barely warm and the gravy was served with a slotted spoon! Sorry, but we'll not be coming again!
