We only had drinks, but it's a LOVELY old pub. We'll be back to try the food!!
First visit in 25 years and nothing has changed. Decent food at a good price. Service was good and staff pleasant. However Gent's toilet smells awful and a refit is long overdue. Not top of my list for a revisit but I wouldn't avoid it if I was in the area. ( Pub not toilet)
All stayed nearby after a wedding. visited with 10 people including 2 small children, the service was excellent both children's meals were served just before the adults allowing them to settle before we all ate together. The pies served to each of us were all different and everyone agreed that all were excellent, I agreed to treat everyone so I was amazed how inexpensive they were. The landlord was a real character, and the pub full of old charm. Cannot praise the entire experience highly enough. I will return even though I live 60 miles away.
We went for our Friends Birthday last night. Fantastic pies, delicious rich and very meaty. Bread and butter pudding was Gorgeous. With plenty of delicious custard. Definitely will be returning.
We've never before but we have just come back from a wake there & it was lovely friendly & very welcoming too. The buffet was very nice. We'll done. We also heard you do lovely cooked Sunday lunches too so we will be back soon
