Lovely hotel right next to York minster, it was great to hear the bells from the hotel room. The staff were all very friendly. The room was very clean and well presented. You don’t have to worry about parking if you opt for the valet parking, they will be straight out to park your car even if you are early and they will hold it until around 2pm on check out day. They even held our bags so we could walk around York before check in.
A lovely hotel in probably the finest location in York. Attentive professional staff. The only criticism would be the breakfast, warm your plates and buy better black pudding or don't leave it under the lamp to go hard. Otherwise a perfect stay. Would definitely stay again.
Stayed here about 5 times now some slight changes since they were taken over by inn collection, not best western as they were but didn't put us off , staff even remembered us after a 2 year break, rooms very clean maid service everyday , and of course central to everything don't worry about the minster bells they stop at 8pm at night and start again I think 8am , breakfast is plentiful as my husband loved it . Overall a lovely place to stay.
Lovely hotel, great location and staff were great. I was worried about the valet parking prior to going, I know the roads there are very busy on a Saturday afternoon, I shouldn't have been worried, double parked with hazards on and they gave me a slip for the windscreen and within a couple of minutes the car had been taken to the car park. The hotel is in the centre of York and our room was looking onto the main road, but there was no noise due to secondary glazing.
I stayed here a few years ago with my wife and had a spooky experience. Excellent hotel very well situated in the centre of York near to York Minister. Hotel was very clean, very professional and excellent staff. We stayed in Room 25 which was very nice. However, we both struggled to sleep, and despite it being summer found the room to be so what cold. In the morning we both felt ill to such an extent that we could not eat breakfast. Once we left the hotel we suddenly recovered. A quick Google search showed that somebody else had had a ghostly experience in the same room. Despite this, the hotel was first class all round and would certainly recommend.

Nothing beats a refreshing pint, at the end of a long day. You’ll be hard pushed to find a better selection of cask ales, anywhere else.
