A country pub oozing rural charm and rustic character, our picturesque surroundings provide the perfect backdrop for savouring the hearty, seasonal pub-food on our menu, and the carefully nurtured cask ales and fine wines gracing our bar.
The Curlew has had a varied and interesting history. The building was constructed in the 1800's and served as a farm mostly producing root vegetables. After gaining its license, the building became Mulligan's fish restaurant, then a themed pub and was more recently called The Manor before settling on being named after the wading bird - the Curlew.

Just stopping for a quick meal before flying out to Portugal. On entering, we were met by a host & taken to the table, then informed of our waitress. Rosie came and greeted us, then ordered drinks plus a sharing platter. Our food came out in a reasonable time & looked really good. Presentation and taste were superb. The service was excellent. Well done Rosie👍 Nice and busy for a Monday. And of course a farewell👍👍
Lovely restaurant with amazing food and a perfect variety. Such a lovely atmosphere and family friendly. Always great service and nothing is too much trouble. Thank you in particular to Emily for making our experience extra special.
We love the curlew, it's always been a fond favourite of mine and is now at its best for a long time. Lovely ambience, proper cosy pub vibes with open fires and comfortable furniture. The food is the real star of the show though, it's always top notch comfort food cooked perfectly, I love their pies! The staff are kind and great with children and dogs. My only slight issue is pricing is now quite high in my opinion especially in an area with so much choice for good food. We'd go far more often if it was more affordable but I understand the struggles pubs face so it's a treat for us.
Just been to curlew for some grub with the wife after work no words really to describe it just blew me away amazing so good quality food lovely staff beer was great all amazing how it should be done when spending money going out we all know its not cheap but when like this all worth it well done curlew see you again thank you
We just came from Barcelona and wanted to have some delicious Sunday Roast. We came in the right place! We just had a perfect Sunday Roast lunch here outside at the garden in a sunny afternoon. Special thanks to the lady who welcomed us at the entrance (I think, she is the manager or owner) Food 10/10 Service 10/10 We will be back!
