Only popped in for a pint while working away and everyone was so welcoming. Instance banter with the locals and didn't really want to leave. Good pint as well.
This was a fantastic pub for drinking, with a warming design contributed by the ceiling lights! The wall's map is historic, counter is well-presented and staff were approachable. I enjoyed a pint of Strongbow Dark Fruit, sitting at leather seating of a clean table!
Went in on Saturday night and it was pretty scary. Loads of young lads looked like they were off their tree. Fighting outside, scared to look at anyone in case they started something. Kendal really surprised me during the weekend we were there.
Nice place. We sat in the side beer garden as weather really hot. Good prices. Did have to wait a while to be served as locals took precedence even though they came to bar after me. Ah well look after the regulars as us infrequent customers don't keep the tills jangling! Good prices and friendly staff.
Nice barman who accommodated us when we asked to watch England Vs Colombia as well as the Arsenal Vs Forest match which were on at overlapping times. They don't serve food, but we were allowed to bring in sandwiches while we watched the football. A little run down and not a great selection of ales (although a variety of lagers).
