The Crows Nest Inn is a beautiful 16th Century white washed building in the hamlet of Crows Nest. We are on the Eastern edge of Bodmin Moor, surrounded by old mine engine houses and ancient relics such as Trethevy Quoite, The Cheese Wring and the Hurlers.
There are many lovely walks around the village and surrounding moor lands.
We have a large open fire burning throughout the winter months which is a welcome sight to many cold travellers. On sunny days, we have a lovely sun trap garden in front of the pub with lots of seating and shade if you require from umbrellas. We have a large car park and welcome both families and dogs. Horses are also welcome with their riders and we have tie up and step facilities at the side of the car park.
Absolutely stunning place, very warm and welcoming, had a fantastic meal that was so delicious! Great tasting wine and very very lovely people who work there! Can’t say enough good things!
Turned up no notice on a wet December day with a toddler and coeliac in tow. Served promptly, courteously, and most importantly some of the tastiest pub food we have eaten in a long while. Couldn’t recommend this place more highly. 6 stars
Excellent pub! First time here today. We came on a cold, snowy day to find a big open fire, friendly service and delicious food! It's not surprising that the curried scotch egg is a favourite amongst others, it was full of flavour and quite substantial for a starter plate! The fish and chips were cooked so well, some of the best chips I've had in a pub, super crispy, as was the batter! And the samphire was a lovely addition. Highly recommend, we'll be back!
Fast becoming my local of choice. Well kept beer, excellent menu with veggie and vegan options. Fantastic onion rings! Engaging staff and oodles of atmosphere. Plenty of room outside to eat and drink. Large carpark and outside loos. What more could you want?
Enjoyed a family (x7) Sunday lunch at Crows Nest. The Roasts were excellent. Mussels were fine. Pizza no complaints. Finished off with Eton Mess. Very attentive staff. Dog friendly - no complaints from Rocky.
