What a find! Wonderful food - duck, lamb and steak cooked to perfection. Popular place - lots of happy customers. Professional, friendly staff. Good range of ales. Definitely dog-friendly. 😃 Not sure about waiting staff wearing hoodies though. 🧐 The timer of light in ladies needs extending! 😅
Have to say a little disappointed, service after initial drink was slow (forgot to bring drink over) starter was good in fairness and tasty mayo and dip. Main can’t lie was disappointing chicken curry was a piece of chicken in a sauce not marinated etc. rice tasted like a microwave packet. No real check back done atall and, do you want another drink etc. had to go to the bar for bill and a drink. We’ve seen so much about dog friendly which the dogs were in but no water treats or menu offered. Will try again maybe was a bad night but first impressions wasn’t great.
Brilliant place to go along with your dog, for light lunch or a full meal. We were welcomed and immediately our dog was given a bowl of water. We had a food menu and so did our dog. He chose the chicken sausages. We had Scampi and the Haddock Fishcakes all were very enjoyable and beautifully cooked. Service was very good. Would go back again...if only we lived closer, we were on holiday and the Crown was recommended in our holiday cottages information pack. Rightly so.
First time visiting The Crown, and it won't be the last. The food was excellent with an extensive menu and the staff were very helpful and attentive. This all contributed to a lovely evening 👍
Called here for some lunch over bank holiday weekend. Lovely sitting outside in the garden. Food was lovely and fresh. Between us we had the Greek style lamb burger which was delicious, served with crispy fries and salad. Fish and chips, lovely golden batter, chips and homemade tartar sauce. Prices were reasonable and the service brilliant. Even though we were outside staff were attentive and helpful.
