Really nice old pub with garden out the back. Lots of old furniture and photos. Good range of beers including Sussex Bitter. Good lunchtime snack food.
Popped in for a drink and lunch while out walking on the South Bucks Way. Lovely welcome from both landlady and customers. The food was delicious. A really lovely traditional pub. I will be back again.
Lovely small but perfectly formed twin room for a night away after a friend's wedding. Perfectly located about 2 miles from Missenden Abbey. Owners super friendly and accommodating with earlier check in ahead of wedding ceremony. In room breakfast and decent shower with everything needed for a comfortable stay. Good value and very peaceful surroundings. Pub looked lovely but sadly did not have time to sample on this occasion. Would definitely recommend and stay again. Thank you!
At the end of our country walk is this lovely pub. A good range of wine and well kept draught beers. Then there is the garden, it is glorious, massive and a great sun trap.
Met a friend for a pub lunch. Great landlord. Good banter and very helpful. My friend had forgotten to book but the landlord was very accommodating. Gorgeous pub garden for when the weather is better. Can park in Amersham and walk there which is what we did. Will visit again.
