Lovely pub. Great service and atmosphere but no Ossett Brewery Excelcius. My favourite.
Terrible, worst experience I've had. The pub stank of urine nearly choked when i walked in. They could of had a great night with us ,but they were rude, and horrible, we were the only customer in there,! Manager needs a new career she should never be behind a bar. Never again
Superbly kept Ossett Silver King in this gregarious pub. I don't know if this place is what they used to call a knocking shop but a room full of seniors dancing to Motown sure looked like it
Place used to be great but really gone down hill. Walked in and the smell hits you. When asked what dark rum they has it was met with "what you can see". Asked if they had ginger beer and was answered with a statement that they have ginger ale. I said that i was asking about ginger beer and was answered with same with a cold stare and then I was accused of being rude. I advised that i was asking about Ginger beer and was told again I was rude. Clearly this young lady needs some customer service skills or there is a need for onother staff member if stress is felt with just one on duty. If asking a queation is rude times have cleary changed. Needless to say I vacated and will not be returning
I love this place. Reminiscent of an old boozer, so may not appeal to those who enjoy a cafe culture for their beer. Don't be fooled, though. It's a spacious and airy place that I'm sure would be an excellent venue at night. Beer selection was good, with several good ale options on. Staff were great and friendly. Thoroughly enjoyed my visit.

Located in the heart of Knaresborough town centre, next to Knaresborough Castle. The Castle Inn is the perfect place to relax and refuel after a walk in the town.

The Old Royal Oak is definitely worth a visit, located in Knaresborough's famous 'Market Square' the pub dates back to the 18th century and has a real 'oldy worldy' feel to it, it’s even got it's very own ‘Priest Hole’.
