About us

The Crabtree is an iconic pub situated on the quietest and most picturesque stretch of the Thames between Hammersmith & Putney bridges.

We are a stone’s throw from Craven Cottage with beautiful views of the river from our Thames Dining Room and Terraces. Our Orchard BarBQ grills from Spring to Autumn with the Hog Roast spinning when the sun shines.

Housed beneath the huge high-vaulted ceiling is the big lounge bar framed by weighty wooden tables, a smattering of stools, paintings, old time photos of pre-war Fulham and all the ornate accoutrements you’d expect.

Home to an award-winning comedy club, a fine dining restaurant, the largest pub quiz in West London, beer and food pairing events, Market Fairs and an always impressive, ever changing line up of guest ales, there really is something for everyone at The Crabtree.

Beautiful location and very kind Bartender. It’s the perfect stop after a walk along the riverbank with inside and outside seating areas. It’s well kept and has a welcoming atmosphere, will definitely return.

Great atmosphere, food okay but sadly overpriced and in places stingy. Crab burger pictured cost £18! Asian 'slaw' consisted of a few pieces of carrot and spring onion, the promised Siracha mayo sadly absent. Fries were good.

Staff was very kind, managed to give us a table for 6 without a reservation, on their lovely terrace. The atmosphere was fantastic, it was a sunny weekday evening, so it was pretty busy, but we all had a great time, good food and drinks. Prices are, well, London prices, it is what it is. It's a nice spot by the river.

Location is fantastic and ambience right off the Thames walk and shady under trees is refreshing. A nice variety of food (including vegan and vegetarian options) across a one-page menu and a one-page drinks menu. We booked on the website. When I first arrived, I was ignored by three young staff chatting to each other. I gathered myself and went back and spoke to a fourth more mature person who seated us immediately (and ten minutes early). Great GnT, loved the two vegan options plus good pasta, crab burger, and soup of the day. Recommend.
