The oldest pub in Redruth, dating back to 1743 when it was a coaching inn, unobtrusively tucked away at the top of the town centre beyond Fore St.
It is now an unpretentious and friendly drinkers' local. Apart from the main bar area, a second drinking area, slightly raised, houses extra seating and a pool table. Bar meals, self-described as 'pub grub', are available evenings. Tues is quiz night.
You always have a rad time in the Collins Arms. Lovely bar staff, lovely locals.
Lovely owners, kind and helpful. Rooms very clean. Beds comfy. Definitely a good place to stay.
Good accommodation! Quiet place but there aren't free parking areas around. Collins Arms have bought a land just next to theirs for 4-5 cars parking so future visits could be good. The owners were very friendly and good breakfast! We lost the room keys and Mark and wife were very kind not to charge us extra! Thank you again!
The bar provides a great atmosphere, with good drinks and a landlord always good for a few laughs. Great bar with great people
A simple place to stay, but the straightforward and basic looks belie a warm welcome good food and an extraordinarily comfortable night. I would happily have extended my stay if work would have allowed me. The location right in the middle of town just a stone's throw from the railway station is also ideal. For under £40 don't expect chocolate on your pillow but do expect to feel welcome and comfortable.
