We had a large booking of 12 people. I have found it very difficult to make a booking for this many people in other places. From start to finish it was no problem for the Copt Oak. The booking was made right away and no deposit needed to be paid. On arrival there was plenty of space for two pushchairs at the table. The servers were all friendly and helpful and attentive to our needs. The food was lovely, reasonably priced and fresh. Everyone had a great time. At the end we enquired about the 30% off mains offer, because our booking was more than 8 people we could not use this but we were still given 20% off our order. We had a lovely time and will definitely be returning in the future. Thanks to all at The Copt Oak.
The greeting upon arrival was great, we were guided to our reserved table which was in a great position. The food was very mediocre! The sharing platter starter was lovely. The main courses left a lot to be desired. Butter chicken burger was burnt, the underneath was so badly charred part of it was inedible. Hunters chicken was also over cooked and very tough, it was taken home for the dog. The fish and chips was also below par with the fish being dry and overcooked. If it hadn’t have been for my Mums birthday I would have made the staff aware however I was asked not to spoil the birthday celebration by getting upset. The waitress was friendly and smiley however it was a little disappointing that she didn’t wish my Mum a happy birthday when I told her it was. Certainly won’t be returning anytime soon. The booking was at 12:30 and Table 9 so feel free to call if you wish to discuss.
Recently dined here on a Sunday after many years. The food was of an excellent quality, the staff attentive and polite, and the general atmosphere a pleasant environment. Top marks to the team - we will be returning.
Three of us had lunch here yesterday, lucky to get a table as we hadn't booked. Not as chickeny as in the past, and better for it I think! Tasty food, good service. We'll be back!
Nice looking pub and they were really good with allergens as my child has a severe child allergy. Their menu is clearly marked and they even put a little flag on the food to make sure it's clear. Staff was really nice and the food was good for the price.
