The Collyweston Slater is a traditional coaching inn dating from the 17th century. Situated in the heart of the picturesque village of Collyweston, we are 5 miles from Rutland Water and only 3 miles from the historic market town of Stamford.
An open fire greets you as you enter the flag-stoned floored building. Cosy and warm, you will find real ales (and free Wi-Fi), great hospitality, fine wine and locally sourced food on the extensive menu. There are three comfortable, en suite bedrooms where you can put your feet up after a day’s walking around the shores of Rutland Water or after a spot of fishing, sailing, cycling or horse riding. The Collyweston Slater is also a convenient stopover for business clientele as we’re only a few minutes’ drive from the A1 at Stamford, the A47 and close by to Peterborough, Leicester and Corby.
This is a traditional English inn where great pub food, family hospitality and customer service is the focus.

Fantastic stay here. Went for a Christmas meal with some friends. As we live a bit further away we decided to stay overnight too. Rooms very nice and friendly staff. Can’t recommend highly enough.
What a wonderful place, the staff are wonderful and so helpful and patient. A family party of 18 met together today and the meal was delicious and the staff were amazing. Accommodating children and a wheelchair. Just amazing 👏
Great to find it open, lively and welcoming on Xmas day. Full of local families, good choice of Everard's hand pulled beers, plenty of parking spaces set at the top of the High Street in surely one of the most beautiful and intriguing settings in England. Cotswolds eat your 💓 out. And oh those slated roofs! The finest anywhere bar none!
Came as a party of 7 for Sunday lunch. The roast dinners were delicious, as was the pie and fish and chips. Everything came quickly, service was very friendly. They also accommodated It had a good atmosphere. We’ll be coming back!
Just WOW! If you are looking for good food, top service and lovely decor and atmosphere then this is a place you should visit. We visited 3 weeks ago before we moved in to the village and again last night. We found the same great service and fantastic food! Consistency is key and they have it here. They were very busy and we in hindsight should of booked, Amie the owner was just as welcoming as our first visit and really looked after us and welcomed us to the village. Her team are absolutely on it and the general energy is happy and busy. Amie and her hubby, Chef are a rare gem and totally deliver to all they serve. We are very blessed and grateful this is our local eatery. Thank you. Lisa & Rich 🌻
