A group of approx 16 WI members visited this lovely, quaint old pub. Excellent service.
I love to visit this pub whenever we’re in the area. I hope it never changes. Each time I visit I see something new (or really old). Staff are so lovely. Only came for drinks.
I had a lovely meal with friends. The food was amazing and the service was very good. Lovely friendly, helpful staff. Realy nice atmosphere. I rang ahead as I have dietary requirements, the staff spoke to me, and together, we planned my meal, which was excellent. I would highly recommend it.
Gets better every time I visit! Excellent beer, good and reasonably priced homemade food and lovely staff. The pub itself is a quirky old building with bags of character, and it has a fair bit of outdoor space, too. Edit: I have revisited several times since my initial review and sadly this place is not as good as before. Service is incredibly hit and miss with long queues for a drink and food not always being available. The food is of variable quality also, with my last meal being really bad. Having said all that, it's still a pretty pub, in a great location and the beers are generally in excellent condition.
Friendly, local pub, very quirky with no bar, you are served from the cellar door, lots of character, low ceilings 3 small areas/rooms and a small dinner room, great food very busy on Saturday lunch time so would advise booking. Also a large covered outdoor seating area. There is also a large field behind the car park for overnight stays for campervans and motorhomes, Would recommend.
