The 5:15's, the North's top Northern Soul / Mod covers band, will be playing here again on Saturday 2nd March - FREE ENTRY. Great friendly working mens club. Reasonably priced drinks for York. Spacious main room with bar and large dancefloor that is ideal for functions and events. Smaller bar area as well with TV showing sports etc. Friendly management, staff, and members.
Can't fault the staff and the atmosphere is typical of a traditional Working Men's Club. I've been a member for about 40 years so I obviously don't dislike it that much as a venue. The food rating isn't really applicable but the crisps and nuts etc. are as good as anywhere.
It's ok well organised, 3 acts a week,, fairly priced . Good evenings to be honest.
In need of some tlc, but it's still popular with its members. Musical acts, bingo and snooker, with reasonably priced drinks.
Excellent Club, nice atmosphere and a good game of bingo! I would recommend any CIU affiliated club, in York best place for social gatherings! Support your local community club!
