My wife is disabled. We called in, well we tried to call in a couple of days ago for a meal and a drink. The only car park disabled space was blocked off with planters and there was nowhere else to park. No car cark whatsoever. Nowhere to park up the Main Street either. I know the original car park was taken up to extend the building. So that left the front. That has all been taken up with table and chairs now. Who wants to sit outside in this freezing cold weather anyway. Sorry, very disappointed, after years of going in there. We will not be visiting again as you have discriminated against disabled people.
Absolutely disgraceful in here today, December 23rd, 2023. The manageress, a young, eastern European or Scandinavian-sounding person, was unbelievably rude. I describe her as I did not get a name. We waited 50 minutes for food and gave up when a plate of cold food arrived, but nothing for my wife, and no cutlery. The congealed eggs were hideous looking things, all the product of having stood going cold for goodness knows how long. I explained the problem to the manageress, who was utterly unbothered. On the way out, I suggested it might be common courtesy to maybe apologise. She wouldn't even look at me and was saying something under her breath. Worst customer service I have had in a long time. Another customer commented on how awful the service was, as we both left.
I ordered a simple meal, panini & chips. The meal was barely warm. A really skimpy portion of chips, and not as good as they used to be. The panina filling is less than it used to be also. One of my friends ordered a panini, that was also barely warm. Another friend had a curry, that was okay. Other Wetherspoons do better.
Ordered 8pcs Chicken Wing, and the meal I received got 5pcs of very small chicken wing only. The staff helped me to get the balance, but it was really awkward to talk to them about it!
We had a good time, we enjoyed. Yes if we look deeper needs a lot of improvements but let see the good part of the business …. decent price for food and drinks.
