I had the pork t bone and it is one of the fantastic one I had in Cotswold. Very tasty and the steak is well cooked and tender. My partner had a fish fillet which was very delicious and not too salty and not too moist. The fish is very well cooked and use a lot of love to cook such on point dish. However, I feel the sides are too salty and too overdose for my liking and it could be my Asian taste bud that I prefer simpler food and not too overdose of favour. I definitely will come back again in july for another meal with u guys ! 😊
Fantastic restaurant, food was amazing, the beef Wellington was incredible, the pea risotto sublime. The chef is clearly very talented creating a menu from local ingredients to such a hugh standard. The venue is a traditional English pub in a tiny village, the service was good if a little brisk. We took the early sitting, in hindsight we should have taken the later one to enable us to enjoy our time here. Overall highly recommended and we will all remember the high quality food.
Fantastic meal and service, such a lovely evening. We visited the Churchill Arms this evening and had such a wonderful experience, I felt compelled to write a review (people can be so quick to complain but less so to compliment). From the moment we were greeted and completed the entry requirements (including a great minty hand sanitiser) we were made to feel very welcome and relaxed. We ordered drinks and sat inside, but as the evening was lovely, we changed to an outside table. The service throughout the evening was exemplary, attentive but not over bearing, and the food was superb. From the complimentary arancini to the crab rarebit and the sea trout, everything was delicious, seasonal and treated with such respect (even the vegetables!) I’d highly recommend a visit and we will certainly be back very soon. Thank you to all the team both front and back of house for such a fantastic evening.
Excellent food and great service! The garden has well spaced tables and a covering so you can still enjoy on a rainy day. The Sunday roast was absolutely delicious and very well presented, great portions for the price.
Wow, what a lunch! We were recommended to this place by two separate shopkeepers in Stow-on-the-Wold so we had to give it a try. It certainly delivered. We ordered the fish and chips and the Cotswold fillet of beef with gnocchi and mushrooms. Both plates of food were truly excellent. The fish was crispy and light and the chips were golden on the outside and beautifully fluffy inside. The fillet was expertly cooked and in a delicious sauce that brought the entire dish together with the gnocchi and mushroom garnish. Service was attentive and friendly and the prices were great. Highly recommend.
