The traditional stone-built Inn, on the edge of the Peak District, dates from Bollington’s origins as a cotton mill village.
It offers a warm welcome for business or pleasure, corporate or personal, to drinkers and eaters who enjoy ‘olde worlde’ open fires with crackling logs and lively conversation in a cosy bar. Our comfortable bed & breakfast accommodation offers five bedrooms (1 double, 1 twin & 3 singles) for a single night or a longer-term stay. There’s a small car park and each room has wireless Internet connection, TV, clock radio, hairdryer, tea & coffee making facilities & by request, an iron & ironing board.
The village is set in great walking country, on the path of the stunning 35-mile Gritstone Trail as it weaves through fantastic views through Tegg’s Nose Country Park near Macclesfield and on to the Staffordshire border. The Peak District offers many more attractions including Chatsworth House, the spa town of Buxton with its famous Opera House, Lyme Park at Disley – scene of Colin Firth’s famous dip in the TV production of “Pride & Prejudice” – The Trafford Centre – one of the UK’s largest shopping malls, Jodrell Bank Space Observatory, Macclesfield, Wilmslow, Manchester city centre & historic Chester.
The Church House is well situated for all major motorway networks and only 25 mins from Manchester airport.

Sadly The Church House Inn is no longer open. Despite this, they took reservation and payment for a room booking from a relative of mine visiting from abroad. To find your accommodation shut down when arriving at 8pm on a Sunday after a long haul flight is not ideal. I just hope they can recoup their money.
Used to be a great pub with fantastic pub grub, staff and atmosphere. Used to be great for families, walkers and locals. Now it's just a cheap drinking place that smells. No style just alcohol fuelled! Not used for some time but have visitors try again that confirm the above.
A fab locals pub at good prices but it isn't catered for tourists. It looks very old fashioned, the paint is peeling and the toilets were up kept. It needs a bit of love. But a great cheaper locals pub if that's what you're looking for!
made to wait 45 mins to check in they dont do food any more so ignore most of the other profile pictures then presented with a tiny room, nothing like the photos online, and the bathroom was disgusting. absolutely filthy! the bed springs kept me awake most of the night told they were fully booked but there was no one else at breakfast and no one else moved past my door at any point from 4am onwards.
Great cosy setting. Been a few times now and had roasts and pizzas, all very tasty and nice food. Staff are friendly and polite. My children played darts and pool the staff were very accommodating. Have been back a few times now and will continue to return.
