The pub is located in the village of Burbage, Leicestershire.
We are open daily and offer food at affordable prices everyday. We have a large garden area with undercover and heated areas. We also have a fabulous outdoor bar and kitchen.
Sunday lunch is a must, but booking highly recommended. Chilli out with us on the second Sunday of every month with our very own Richie Phillips with great chilli out tunes from 4pm - 7pm. Eat inside or out undercover or bask in the glorious sunshine. Pop into a beach hut for a funky experience.
Join us on a Wednesday evening for our amazing Pie night, home made pies with a choice of 7+ fillings, make it special and book on the first Wednesday of every month and enjoy your pie with our Pianist in the restaurant from 6pm - 9pm.

Christmas lunch at the chequers. Managed to get a table last minute and we were not disappointed. The staff were absolutely spot-on and so efficient with the service. The food was great. The atmosphere was lovely. Going out for Christmas lunch is all about the buzz and the atmosphere And it definitely had that. It was clear that the team were working tirelessly to make it a good day for everyone. Absolutely five stars and no complaints from us. It was nice to be surrounded by people that were clearly enjoying themselves Thank you for letting the doggies enjoy the day with us.
I Came here for a meal with friends after the Christmas market and it was absolutely delicious! Lovely pub with top quality food. I had the steak which was delicious. Large menu with something for everyone and fantastic wine too! Highly recommended and will definitely be returning!
Went here today, Saturday, food was good, service a little slow, but we weren't in a hurry, the sweets were lovely, lots of choice on the menu, not much choice for my husband and I being vegan, it would be nice to have a choice. Dog friendly as well which is great.
Third time we've visited and the food has been excellent on all occasions......compliments to the Chef and kitchen staff. Friendly little pub with outside space. Staff friendly and welcoming.
