Nice enough, pleasant staff, good is ok - standard pub food really. Presentation of the food was lacking a little and no side salads. Average pricing is not silly expensive. Decor was a typical pub, nothing offensive, but the place could have been a little bit cleaner. That said, it wasn't filthy, and the staff were friendly and helpful. All in all, not bad to nip to for a quick evening meal.
Rooms warm & beds comfortable. Food is good & service excellent. Ideal location for us as visiting family. Hotel is child friendly, our children ate well & felt relaxed, outdoor play area. Room service is prompt & good. A lovely visit. Thankyou
Had breakfast here with family. Debbie served us , she was very friendly and greeted us with a smile. She told us of an offer that was on at the time. The breakfast was brought out quickly and was very hot. A good selection of items all cooked nicely. We like to come here for breakfasts.
Can't leave a review on rooms as have never stopped there, living local. But we have visited Charnwood Arms for regular meals over the years. Have gone in today 18/11/2023, after the refurbishment and what a change. The food has always been excellent value for money, always have excellent offers to save money. But now the environment matches the excellent food and service 5* as always. Staff always very friendly and helpful.
Ate there the other evening. Very clean and well set out. The food was great! There were gluten free choices which were quite substantial and very well cooked. The service was fast, friendly and excellent especially from Ella who is a credit to the pub. Would eat there again any time. Highly recommended.
