A boozer with actual fireplaces in central London! Was able to secure a chair next to the fireplace on the main level, and it was surprisingly secluded. Solid pints, definitely recommend.
Fun pub, good service, nice food. Basic, but basic done well! (Great cocktails as a tip)
Sunday roast was perfect! We went for the sharing board, 3 different meats and all the trimmings, ideal for 2 people. Service was excellent! It’s been a while since we’ve found a decent roast in london that doesn’t break the bank, definitely our new Sunday spot!
They have a great classical fish & chips. Service is cool, with the cozy ambiance of a traditonal English pub . I loved it for a quick lunch during my short visit in London.
Awesome pub to enjoy some fish and chips, a few beers and conversations mid-day Sunday afternoon! Food took a little longer than expected (but no concern to us) when the manager came over and offered a free round for the extra wait! Now that is customer service at its finest. Once the food arrived, we really enjoyed the fish and chips…peas were a great surprise. Make sure to have a Guinness, it’s EXTRA COLD Thank you The Champion, we really enjoyed the time and food at your establishment :) Cheers!
