First time at this carvery as a family birthday meal and the staff were great and the food piping hot, meat was cooked perfectly well for us,all the vegetables were also cooked lovely & piping hot too. Play area for the children (we didn’t use this as they played outside for free as indoor is around £3.50 I believe?) Nothing was too much trouble for the friendly staff so we will definitely be back for another meal very soon.
We visited on a Sunday (8 adult's and kid's). We had to wait for a while because it was very busy, but we weren't bothered because we found somewhere to sit and had a few drinks. Once seated, we all headed for the carvery. There was a huge selection of meats, and vegetables, plus accompanying sauces. Huge Yorkshire puds. The food was delicious. Fresh, crisp, hot, absolutely fantastic. Couldn't recommend highly enough. We will definitely return.
Mixed reviews on this one, I had a carvery that was ok, potatoes were dry and had hard skin, also Yorkshire pudding was hard, this was probably due to being under the heat lamp for to long. My partner had homemade steak and ale pie, which she said was delicious. It wasn't very busy at all with loads of empty tables. There is a huge play area for kids inside, which keeps the kids entertained while waiting for meals and for people to finish eating ( the play area does have a cost of just under £3 each). We did eat around 7pm, so that may be why the carvery was a bit dry. Probably need to visit earlier in the day.
We went here tonight whilst holidaying and I can honestly say it was the best carvery we've had. We went around 5.30pm and it wasn't too busy, although by 6.30 it did seem to pick up a little with more people queuing. But even if we had gone later and had to queue it would be 100% worth it. Really good food and service 👌 Hats off to the chef who was on, and to the staff working the bar and restaurant. Very welcoming and friendly 😊
Grabbed a late dinner here on our last evening in Caister. Carvery was as you'd expect at the end of the night, not the freshest and most full of flavour after being under the heat lamps for some time, however still enjoyable. Ordered the Choc-a-Lot Challenge sundae to share with husband, we both regretted it after having just eaten a sizeable roast dinner, but it was worth it!!
