The Cambria has undergone a full top-to-toe revamp and re-opened under new management on March 24th. We were closed for too long, so it’s great to get this treasured pub back up and running in the heart of Denmark Hill’s bustling community.
Settle in for a session in our new bright and leafy garden room, drink and dine in style in the lofty bar and lounge, or cosy up in our homely, festoon-lit rear terrace.
Open all day, every day, we’ve a nook (and a cranny), that you can perfectly call your own, and a dish and a drink for you to kick back with. Think classic pub food served generously, and small plates for you to devour and share. Plant-based crowd pleasers, top Sunday roasts, and banging Bloody Mary’s are all the order of the day. Plus, old-fashioned puds and a world of barista-style Fairtrade coffees and teas.
And when it comes to beer, we’re keeping things local too, with nearby Brixton Brewery’s hand-crafted, small batch beers and ales on tap, alongside a range of wines, spirits and cocktails, plus a vibrant selection of no and lows.

We were greeted by a friendly lady, whom we assumed was the landlord. The pub was empty, and during the time we were there, no other customers arrived. However, we were looked after exceptionally well. The food was fresh and tasted good. Our daughter is gluten and dairy free, and she managed to find a lovely chilli she enjoyed. My husband and I had grass fed beef, burgers, slaw, and chips. Which tasted great. I was surprised that the bill was so cheap, but found out they had a January offer of 30% off food! Great value. We will definitely visit again when we're next in London. Thanks.
Drinks and atmosphere were great, lovely layout and they show sports, have a heated terraced garden with a pool table! Make staff were somewhat awkward and at times made us mildly uncomfortable but the female staff member was super accommodating and kind.
Pretty good I would say...Had a few pints and a port to finish the night..friendly guy served me. On Friday we had a sweet which was very nice. Its my daughters local so its perfectly located . Proper pub!
We had an amazing night last night at the relaunched Cambria in South London. They came to the rescue with a last minute booking for 15. They provided a private function room for my mates 50th birthday. Thank you to all the friendly and very helpful staff who looked after us. Despite a full bar downstairs for quiz night, the kitchen served up a range of delicious dishes for our table of 15. A special thank you to Sue who looked after us for the evening. Jackie-Sue you're a star! Definitely will be going back for Sunday roast and Quiz night. Welcome back Cambria!
Full Review on @hungrybelly.blog Lovely renovated pub. The layout is much better than it was previously. Very attentive service ( our server was Susan - Lovely lady) The menu had a decent selection. We thoroughly enjoyed the starters, mains and particularly the desserts. Great selection of drinks. Lovely chilled vibes and we would definitely return
