Newly re-opened pub with Micro Brewery, producing Luddite Ales, plus locally sourced guest beers, ciders and spirits. Dogs are well catered for, plenty of space to stretch out, water and dog treats always available.

Great beers and, on Fridays and Saturdays, a great range of pies. Plenty of character and lovely staff.
If you find yourself in the wilds of West Yorkshire, make a date to visit this lovely (off the beaten track) pub in Horbury. Friday night is pie night and there is a fabulous variety to choose from. I had the gluten free steak and onion with mash and peas which was melt in the mouth delicious. Coupled with some amazing home brewed cask ales, it made for a very enjoyable early supper. Lovely atmosphere with a blazing log fire and great friendly service. We will definitely return. Thank you so much.
Old school pub with great ales. Locally brewed, some Inhouse, which were brilliant. Fantastic beer garden. The building itself has a great traditional feel, very old school which is a plus point. One thing let's this place down, It's Staff, partners in the business I presume. Could do with some training in hospitality, learn how to at least falsify a smile and some endearing conversation. If you don't want to be there, then hire staff at additional cost that have some charm. Unfortunately this is a trend that comes with the real ale revival at many new upcoming potentially great establishments. As you will see from previous reviews featuring pictures of the bar staff (recent ones) little facial expression is given, a dull inhuman stare greets you. Make this place great and hire some passionate staff please. Dull, expressionless faces of money men is not what's needed in the modern world. We need some spunk and passion. Crying shame from what would otherwise be a regular haunt of mine.
Proper pub, tucked away in Horbury. Its also a brewery and the beer is fantastic, as is the atmosphere. Pop up food stalls and regular music, it's a hidden treasure.
Just re-opened by three school friends, brewing their own beer and sourcing as much possible from Yorkshire. The pub has been refurbished to a good standard and the beer is good value with, currently free bar snacks of cheese cubes and slices of pork pie. Local specialty gin and Fentimans mixers. On a sunny but chilly day, the beer garden was in the sun but empty of people; inside there were warm fires and plenty of people :)
