The Burton Hotel has been under the same family ownership for over 35 years and is being continually modernised. Our stunning pool, gym and spa make it a wonderful retreat to escape and relax from the hustle and bustle. Located in the centre of a small market town near the Welsh border, Kington is a Centre for Walking, with Offa's Dyke, Mortimers Trail and The Wyche Way all easily accessible from the town centre.
If you enjoy golf, then we have ten golf courses within easy driving distance and you can also practice your putting on our very own all weather 9 hole putting course.
Our new deluxe South Wing opened in 2016. The accommodation offers all the modern comforts todays discerning traveller expects.
Each of our deluxe ensuite bedrooms are decorated in a contemporary style and have super kingsize beds, a sofa bed, desk, free wifi, television, mini fridge and complimentary tea and coffee. Large fluffy towels, bathrobes, slippers and complimentary toiletries are also provided.
In addition there are two first floor apartments. Each apartment has two double bedrooms and two bathrooms. The lounge and kitchen can be accessed from each bedroom and provide all amenities for self-catering. A balcony leads from the lounge and is the perfect place to enjoy a bottle of wine whilst watching the world go by. Each apartment can sleep up to eight people. Nice hotel, good bar service and fantastic food. The rooms are dated. My window kept coming open in the night. But overall I would recommend 👌
We came here for a relaxing mini break before the busy-ness of the Christmas period and we had the most relaxing time! The spa was divine and they are very generous with how much you are able to use the spa for an overnight stay. We planned to go and visit Hereford but ended up staying and using the spa instead because we enjoyed it so much. The gym has limited equipment but enough for you to get in a good workout. I wanted to book in a massage treatment too but unfortunately I left it too late that Gemma was fully booked so I recommend booking in early! The food was delicious, well priced and the menu had a good variety of dishes. The staff were all super friendly and made us both feel very valued staying there. Overall it was a brilliant stay and there was a lovely atmosphere in the hotel. Thank you.
Really friendly and nice staff. Good food (and well kept beer). Spa and gym are beautiful with a wide range of equipment. Bedrooms are a bit dated but clean and functional
I have stayed in this lovely hotel on a number of occasions. It is a revelation to find a hotel of this superb quality in a small Welsh town. The staff are friendly, efficient and the food is excellent. The pool and Spa facility are as good as in hotels that charge far more than the very reasonable room rates that are the norm here . So well done John and the team at the Burton Hotel
Drove three hours to meet up with family who live locally for Sunday lunch. Service was excellent with very attentive staff. Food was fantastic and one of the best Sunday roasts I have had in a long while. I'd certainly visit more frequently if we lived closer. Thank you to all and we will return.
