We’ve carefully selected our bar range to ensure a wide variety, combining high quality to suit all tastes. We have spirits, beers and wines from all over the world and a great range of cask ales, brewed locally and from further afield.
Fancy something different? Visit The Churchill Tap, next door to the Chequers main bar, it’s Marlow’s only Craft Beer Haven with regular take-over events and constantly updated beer menus. This bar dates back to the 16th century where the original beams still remain. The perfect place to enjoy a new beer experience.
Dishes are carefully planned to make sure all the ingredients complement each other perfectly. All our food is freshly prepared on the premises, using locally sourced ingredients where possible.
We use aged Australian beef. You choose you cut, size and how you’d like it cooked, from our Butcher’s Block, and we’ll do the rest. You can also have your steak cooked in our secret glaze, or just as it comes, the choice is yours.
We now have brand new lunch and dinner menus, so whether it’s a light bite or a hefty steak you’re after, our menus cater for all appetites.

This venue is located right on High Street in the centre of Marlow. Staff are very service oriented and very engaging. We stayed 4 nights and the menu represents good value whilst the rooms were cosily appointed. The local retail & hospitality sector is bustling to say the least. Highly recommend visiting here!
Perfect location in Marlow. Great food, fantastic and attentive customer service. I also had a coworkers leaving drinks in the Churchill Tap and it was one of the best nights! We had our own private bar and the buffet food came out timely and delicious too! The pub has a really warm and cosy feel to it which just leaves you feeling you want to spend more time there. Definitely recommend this pub for anyone visiting Marlow. Thanks to the Chequers Team for always looking after us.
Christmas meal for a team of seven. We chose to order from the main menu rather than the sessional menu. All the food was well presented and at an appropriate temperature for the dish. The staff were nicely attentive without being intrusive, timing between courses relaxed was nicely judged. The meal was served in a small room off the main saloon, which made for a really nice atmosphere.
We were in room 7, we had a few issues with taps and leaking shower. We were only there for 1 night, and I hope they are now fixed for next person. Apart from that, place is lovely, and a great central location.
Ate dinner tonight and the food really was outstanding. Juicy and tender chicken with plenty of flavour and the burger very similar. Sweet potato and regular fries cooked perfectly. Good service too.
